Now there's some visual imagery for you. Joaquin doing Johnny Cash doing RAP.

    That would be interesting!

Nope, not kidding, Ron. People do f themselves up, but it seems the "pressure" of being a celebrity and having everyone analyze what you're doing certainly has SOMETHING to do with what happens. People will say, "What pressure? They make 25 million a year!!!!!" I think both factors play a role.

I don't buy into this. There are some Hollywood people that live quiet lives. The problem is the excessive self-promotion going on in Hollywood. Many of them are constantly promoting themselves (the bigger celebrity they are the more $$$$ for the next appearance or movie). Many celebrities want to be on entertainment tonight every day, they actively seek out the attention.

    Letterman Linky

Thats a real nice Charles Manson look he's got going. After his Grammy Award winning rap career ends, he's got the lead role in the remake of Helter Skelter locked up!

I saw that performance too. Don't know exactly what to make of it. But if you think about it...there's been some press about a really BAD youtube video of Joaquin doing a terrible rap gig that's gotten tons of hits. Intentional? Mistake?

Either way...would you 'want' to deal with questions about a rap career after having performed at a fairly high level as an actor. Perhaps this "act" was just a good way of appearing without having to REALLY answer any 'real' questions about this Rap thing? If so...he is an 'actor' after all! And a good one. If that was a performance and most of us missed it...then kudos to him for fooling us.

    +1 to that!
ppl don't take responsibility when they royally screw up their lives. Excuses and justification have taken over for accountability. Blame McDonalds because you are fat. Blame Smith & Weston because a kid shoots another kid. Blame Canada for Celine Dion (Ok, that one is just, and as a Canadian I would like to offer my sincerest apology on behalf of this country, for polluting your country with Celine Dion's 'music' and general presence. I thought Bryan Adams was bad enough of us.)

It's just another small example of how the western world is moving backwards as a society. (It's too bad that the complete and final demise of our civilization as we know it will probably happen long after I'm dead. I would enjoy such entertainment.)

This was staged, he was doing all that on purpose. Watch what he does right at the end when he stands up. He whips off his glasses shakes Daves hand again and says Good Job.....

    Hes yanking everybodys chain.......

I really wish NBC had some of his COnan / Leno appearances on Hulu or something. Even if this was just an act, Joaquin is really a strange, strange man, and acts similar to this (if not to such an extreme level) in every interview I've seen him in. For years and years.

I dunno, I think he was kind of an ****. If it was for real, that is. That's why I think it's a put on. Letterman can be a Richard but he seemed especially so.
