Turntable Help

I have to put my TT about 6ft from my receiver.is there anything i should use other then some RCA's to make the run? i just used some monster cables last night just to get me by that i had.

Personally, I would if I could have the turntable closer to the receiver but if you can't just make sure you get some good shielded ICs to make the run. The low voltage is subject to hum from RFI and EMI.

Thanks, i wish i could get it closer.just trying to keep it simple till i get my 2 channel setup going then i will be on easy street.there is a place here in town that will put a real nice cable on my TT for around $75,they build high end stereo equipment/speakers,they said the right way to do it is have one direct cable from the TT to the receiver if i am going to have a long run.Polk Audio SDA 2.3tl Fully Hot Rodded. 😎

Good idea but what happens when your turntable is only a foot away from your preamp? -

So right now you are 'extending' the built-in cables of your TT with some Monster RCA extenders?
Yeah - doing a 'hop up' of the tone arm cables would be a sweet mod.
H9: If you don't trust what you are hearing, then maybe you need to be less invested in a hobby which all the pleasure comes from listening to music.
