Here is an image of the President's new Cadillac One. It's from a British source, but still pretty cool the equipment they (could) have in this limo; at least that we know :D.

Inside and out, the Cadillac Presidential Limousine includes many of the brand's signature design elements, such as the dual-textured grille and the dinner plate-sized Cadillac coat-of-arms badge that are the hallmarks of the CTS sport sedan and Escalade. Vertically oriented head- and taillights mirror those used on production models. Compared with the outgoing Cadillac-supplied Presidential Limo, Cadillac One is slightly more upright, though both vehicles occupy roughly the same overall footprint on the road, with a similar size and proportion.

The car was designed, developed, and tested by specialists who adhered to an extensive set of specifications. It was subjected to an extreme testing regimen to ensure performance that achieves precise functional requirements. In doing so, security provisions were undertaken at all times during development to ensure the car's functional capabilities are preserved and confidential. Translation: GM and the Secret Service aren't telling us anything about the power train, safety features, or cabin tech.

Could Cadillac One be based on the behemoth GMC Topkick platform? If Internet speculation is to be believed, Cadillac One may actually be based on the GMC Topkick commercial truck platform and likely layers on some serious security/safety tech. When we looked at the Mercedes-Benz S600 Pullman Guard, we got a peek into just how much tech (and weight) goes into making an armored limousine. We can expect Cadillac One to be similarly equipped, with a honking big engine for hauling armor-plated **** when necessary. Since we're already speculating Topkick platform, let's go ahead and assume the gasoline-powered Vortec 8.1-liter V-8 or the Duramax 6.6-liter turbo diesel V-8 will also be making an appearance.

While it's impressive from a technological / design standpoint, it still makes me think.... Heads of state get this amount of protection while taking away the rights of their constituency to protect themselves.

Some animals really are more equal than others, eh?
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Doesn't need to, the limo probably rides in at least a 10 car motorcade.

As far as I know, the "Minigun Motorcade SUV" videos that have been floating around the web, are not actually used in the motorcade. They're actually a bit of advertisement for a vehicle customization company.

The technology used in any of the motorcade vehicles is closely guarded, and therefore you'd never see shots of it in action, much less from inside the vehicle.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing... I find it also funny that they state that windows crack to talk to agents running alongside. Isn't that what the radios and ear piece are for? I think the window cracks so the driver or the president can smoke a cigarette, thats it!:p

I bet you're correct on that fact... though I also bet they have some nasty surprises for anyone trying to attack the motorcade.

There is a minigun that is part of "the secure package". That is the least of someones worries though should they actually try to get at the President. A few other things to consider as well, predator drones, any type of video/audio is jammed within a certian distance away from the motorcade,AA defenses, plus constant satellite suveillance. Here are a few pics.

If the thing about keeping his blood in case of a need for a transfusion is going to leave the President a bit poked up, I think. From a hospitals website -

"We can store blood for forty-two days if we don't freeze it. If we freeze it, we are allowed to store it for ten years, but freezing blood is a very poor way of storing blood. When you need blood right away, it takes at least two hours to thaw that unit and only about 80 % of the blood is usable. For these reasons we don't freeze units of blood unless there is some special need for it. Generally speaking we store blood in the refrigerator and we can store it for up to 42 days."

So, every 42 days, he's going to have to be drained again :). Keep in mind, it can take over 2 weeks for your body to fully restore its red blood count after a donation. Of course, they could just use same-type blood from any number of donors... but the picture is specific that it's the President's blood.

All they have to do is just take the blood from one of the President's clones in the basement...
