Surround Speakers

Hi guys,

I'm new to Polk and recently threw out the old Blose's and replaced them with T90e's, CS2, and monitor 40's as the surrounds. I'm looking to complete the 7.1 with another set of surrounds. I was wondering if the FXI3's or FXI A4's would work well with these? Bipole speakers seems like the way to go for surrounds and move the m40's to the rear but I don't want to buy them if they won't be timber matched. BTW, I'm running this with a Onkyo TX-SR803 if that matters.

Thanks for the help.

Yeah I was looking there for some. I was trying to make sure these would be a good match for my setup. I think the FXI's are supposed to be matched to the RTI line

It's crazy that you ask this today because I came to the board to ask the same question. I have almost the same setup (T90e's, CS2, monitor 30's) and was looking to do the same thing with the Fxi3's or FXi A4's.

FWIW, I got a response back from Kyle at Polk that said he would not recommend matching them, since they are voice matched to the RTi and RTiA series, respectively.

But, I'm still in your shoes and am interested in if it will work.

Even though the FXi3 and FXi A4 are timbre matched to a different series, is matching the surrounds to each other as big of a deal as matching L/C/R?
