Need help choosing a replacement

Looking for an equivalent replacement.

Hello, I owned a PSW50 until the speaker cone blew on it last week during normal use. Now I need a replacement since I have no bass. Please tell me what polk offers that would be a good replacement.

When I bought the PSW50 I got it for $75.00 at a local pawn shop, no manual and no specs so I am not even sure what kind of new subwoofer I need to buy to get the same amount of bass on a new subwoofer.

My setup was as follows:
4 Satellite speakers and 1 center channel from J&R Electronics Samsung Z410T satellites/center $20.00
Yamaha 6130 500w 5.1 channel a/v reciever -$200.00 (Local Radio Shack)
Polk Audio PSW-50 subwoofer $75.00 (Local Pawn Shop)

Not bad for less than $300.00

The subwoofer is down for good, so now I need to buy a replacement. Please tell me what is recommended I had been looking at a PSW-110 available thru amazon for , but I am not sure how it compares to what I was using. No specs came with my old subwoofer.

Would you recommend this one?

Hey Fuzion64, WELCOME to club polk. What were you looking at spending on a new replacement sub. Also check the FOR Sale section here on Polk.

I would say between $100.00-$250.00 would be safe.
I could probably go $300.00 if I really had too, but that would be my absolute maximium.

Just ordered a polk audio PSW-10 for $116.99 thru amazon.

I just need to know how it will perform when compared to my psw-50.

Well I am not familar with the PSW50. I have read on these forums that Subwoofers are Polks weak side. The PSW110 looks OK. I woul personally look into something from VELODYNE like the VX-10. I am partial to velodyne, but you also can't go wrong with a Velodyne product. Check them out on line. Also look at SVS and HSU.
