Natural SEO style, eh? What are the keywords you're focusing on, what is the topic of the site, and how many inbound links do you have from related sites?

    Link to your site?

A couple of things right off the bat:

Firstly, none of your URLs has 4DTV in them at all. Google is starting to place further emphasis on the actual URL of a website for keywords. I'd recommend you look into including '4dtv' as part of the page url.

Secondly, you need higher quality inbound links. You've got forums taken care of, however they are considered 'lower' quality due to the nature that anyone can post on them. It's not a bad start, but think about shooting a couple of emails out to higher PR sites that deal with another aspect of 4dtv, but not direct competition. Do not purchase anything through link farming, as those methods are heavily penalized by Google and will honestly do nothing for you except waste your time/money.

Thirdly, there's no site map. Think about putting one together. It turns out Google and Yahoo will check your site more often for updates when they're included.

Finally, think about writing a small blog. Google and Yahoo place heavy emphasis on how often a site is updated. The more often it's updated, the more temporally relevant it's likely to be. The more 'up-to-date' a site is, in Google's eyes, the better.

There you go, there are plenty of other things you can do to improve your rankings on Google/Yahoo, but this probably isn't the best venue for sharing some of the more intricate details.

Not that this helps you specifically, but just this week a writer at the Wall Street Journal wrote about trying to get name to return more relevant stuff on a google search. If you can get a hold of this week's back issues, there were several good ideas that seemed to really work for this writer.

Well if it works I'm going to change it from www.dvrblackbox.com/index.php to www.dvrblackbox.com/4dtv/index.php If that works iffy as my sit is a database also, I add a site map page / with it as a 404 page like Polk's site.

Well forums works a little better then the home page is....

Forums shows in both places and post in one shows in the other, ok seems it would fly. But got this error on the new page.

Fatal error: ./cache/ is NOT writable. in /home/dvrbla5/public_html/4dtv/forums/includes/acm/acm_file.php on line 109

Now the new home page is doing this, but I already see why.... Not sure on how to fix it but see it....

It's completly dead, but the old site is working.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare generatequerystr() (previously declared in /home/dvrbla5/public_html/4dtv/includes/sef_urls.inc.php:5) in /home/dvrbla5/public_html/includes/sef_urls.inc.php on line 14

Ugh, right idea with the 4dtv as part of the directory structure. Are you using a CMS for this site and if you are, which?

You know you're talking a bit in riddles with me :)

Had to google SEO now CMS. SEO yes, CMS? Open source yes but don't know anything about CMS. PHPBB forums is open source the home page is CubeCart 3.0 not open source but running in an unregistered version so I need to keep the logo thing on it. Ok with me but google not sure when a site can be listed www.xyz.com(Powered by CubeCart)? Besides CubeCart by itself shoots a small business in the foot as it normally has awful links to pages and nothing in the meta links, but there's a sweet mod that fixes that issue. At least that got me off page 6 on google, listing like 55 or so. I even had a customer of mine talk about my product and his site was listed about mine.

I working on the www.dvrblackbox.com/4dtv thing as we speak. I made a sub directory of 4dtv so I can have this http://4dtv.dvrblackbox.com Then I will have a forward of www.dvrblackbox.com to the http://4dtv.dvrblackbox.com Should be sweet looking I hope, if all goes well. Iffy right now.

Done, complete and I think I got everything you stated. Thanks for your help. But will it work with google? Not sure search 4dtv I'm like 18th on the second page where it states scanned Feb, 4th. Search 4dtv.dvrblackbox and I see its been scanned Feb, 10th but not listed on 4dtv search page.

But on that 4dtv search I say #1 knows me it where it all started. #3 heard of me dvrblackbox, inc. and is interested. So we will see if this flys or not? Fingers crossed. :)

Well it turns out that Google doesn't seem to like sub domains to sites. I could added /4dtv to my site. But I placed both feet in, and will be doing to www.4dtvblackbox.com. As soon the dust settles that is maybe up tomorrow.
