That's a nice price. The Rm6750 was my first H/T system, very nice sounding setup, IMO. The little 8" sub isnt great, but for the money, decent. Really liked the Sat's and Center.

fry's had them for $150, the speakers were good but the sub sucked, i listened to then at frys and the sub was the only reason, i didnt buy the set, but if you wait a little, frys has the set on sale for $150 every few weeks

This is absolutely a great setup for someone's first H/T experience. Yes, the Sub would not be up to parr for an audiophile, but i think "suck's is a little harsh to describe this system, i had it for 3 month's and got alot of joy out of it, prior to upgrading.

thanks for the replies...I am looking to buy my first HT set-up but don't want to upgrade in a year or so. I'm looking for something not as a "beginner" set up but not looking for a audiophile speakers either. I'd like something in the middle of the road. Does POLK sell a matched pair of HT speakers w/ sub?

I saw these speakers on newegg as well and am going to get them for my mom's cheap surround sound system, but I had a quick question first. Does this system come with speaker wire and an RCA cable or something like that to connect everything to the receiver? Or will I need to buy some wire separately?

If you're in a smaller room, 18 AWG wire should suffice. That's what I'm using in my 14' by 12' room.
    My humble setup...

Any ol' 75 ohm RCA cable will work. No need for a Y adapter. I owned that exact sub before I bought my PSW110, and was surprised how much bass that lil' guy puts out.

Can anybody help me? because I encounter some "ground sound" on my RM6750 SUB. I am using this rca cable for my sub
    $(KGrHqF,!hEE85leGmTOBPOm0-lwwQ~~60_12.JPG
and I read some audio cables articles and some say that the digital coaxial cable is the right cable for sub woofers and not the typical rca cable that I am using, please I need to know what is the difference between the two audio cables? and what is the benefit of buying a much expensive digital coaxial cable than the typical rca cable.
