How do I get the F`n door panels off ?!

I have a 1998 chevrolet stnd cab 1500 (Cheyan) and today is the day I swap out the speaks and amps...and subs !

But I can`t get the friggen panels off !

I don`t want to ruin anything , so how about some tips ?!

I have the bright orange tools that Crutchfield sold me...
I have the door handles off


Now what ?

    Brute force got it !!

    Ony one clip broke !

    Now I have to figure out how to set the cross over and input ?out put, and db on the momo 600`s...

    You dont set the crossover points, its pre-set. The only thing you can do is put a high-pass filter on the amp on to keep the mid from playing too low.

    there is a switch for 0,-3,-6db....and single or dual...???????

    I will be using my 400.4 or the 300.2`s...not sure yet

    Single input is for when youre using only one amp channel to drive a set of mids/tweets. Dual is for dual input when youre using an amp channel to drive a tweeter and an amp channel to drive a mid (bi-amping).

    The -3 and -6 is to attenuate the tweeter. Set it to -6 to start. Chances are thatll be the best setting but if you feel your music doesnt have enough "sparkle" then you can set it to -3 or 0.

    I have been reading the materials that came with the 400.4

    I get it now !!!

    Do you think that this is a good amp ?

    The Birth Cert says 93w....not bad !!


    Or should I use the two 300.2`s.....one for each side

    What do y athink ?

    are these amps good ?
    I mean, of course they are good...they`re Polk, but what do ya think ?

    Always a pleasure to help Robert. Especially for a home audio crossover. We dont get many over here so I want to make sure they see how good car audio can sound. :D

    The C400.4 is an OUTSTANDING amp! Far exceeds its rated power, has an excellent crossover and great build quality. What more could you want.

    Id suggest using the 400.4 for your front stage. Tweets off the front channels and mids off the rears. Then adjusting the crossover to fit.

    the 400 for the doors and the 500.1 for the subs (s)

    you are suggesting that I use the pre EQ switch, right ?!

    the 400.4 is a fairly large amp !
    I may have to go with only one sub, so I can mount it behind the seat


    ultimatly I would like to use the 12" SR sub in a specialy made box, and get bucket seats, so I can put it in between the seats instaed of behind them

    Yessir. The Pre-Eq is made specifically for bi-amping the Momo components.

    Now the 400.4 has an excellent variable crossover on it. Dont be afraid to tweak on it.

    The Pre- EQ switch was meant for the older MM6 (Momo classic) component set. Is that what you have? If not, I wouldn't use the "Polk EQ" on the amp.
