I don't need one of these because I already have two plus a backup. This is an awesome device. When music is recorded often the lowest bass is lost on the recording. What remains is the higher frequency harmonics of the low bass. This device reads these higher frequency harmonics, decides what the fundamental bass frequency was then synthesizes it. Just thought I'd throw that info in, hope you don't mind nutculenuff. I consider the Epicenter a must in car applications. I don't know the condition of this particular unit but can attest to the functionality of the standard unit.
