That's not an old PPI amp. The first PPI amp I bought was a Pro Mos 450. 50 watts x 4, 24" long- without the endcaps. Haha. I think it was $1,000. That was a long time ago. 96 maybe? The AM series looked about the same, but are even older.

Actually, this pic is Pro Mos 425. It popped up in my search for 450. Oh well.

I love those old PPI amps. Best amps i history. And yeah - its rated at 50 watts per channel but its 3 feet long! LOL!

But if youre looking for old shool amps, Linear Power were some of my favorites.

No crossovers. No bass boost. No 4 channels. Just pure, raw power.

Nice! The power house of power houses - Orion HCCA! Pretty much ruled the SPL lanes at least around these parts.

Another one of those 25x2 amps that was 3 feet long! :D

I gotta go with the old kicker zr and king of them all xs 100. this was back in the day when entering a competition your class was determined by your amps "rated" output. so manufactures caught on and lowballed the hell out of their amps. ie the xs100 it was rated at 50x2 @ 4 (odly enought it was like 40lbs and massive but made 50x2 ...ok) but when droped to 1/2ohm would make over 1500 rms watts. we used to test them at the shop back in 1997 just to see how under rated they were. also the zr's were great and also built like tanks. i still have a zr360 laying around here somewhere. the only this is i feel like these amps got a bad rep for being power hungry or inefficent. its not that there were power hungry or inefficent they just made alot more power than they clamed and it was good clean power.

i also give a big nod to the old linear power amps those too were tanks

Yes it is the 150X2 quite a little power house.

I just have to fix the input rca's. the solder joint broke, $8 fix.
