As the title says, I am looking for a "cube" Carver M-400 (or whatever modification - a or t).

I really like the compact size; it will power up a dual-10" stereo subwoofer (each sub is 4 Ohms).

I have 2, M-400's.No life left in them. I have a parts manual with it. I have a name of a company in Sudbury, that repairs those old worriers. Quite a little package of power. One is gold, the other is black.

I hope you're running those subs in series, because that amp won't be happy running a parallel load with them...

The subs are completely separate from each other (except for being in the same box). hehe

If you are interested there is a person who is really talented in Tucson who can repair these M-400. He is an audio specilist who is unmatched in his abilitiy to repair all sorts of vintage equipment. He fixed my B&O turntable. If you are interested let me know and I will give you his contact number in Tucson. I just bought a pristine M-400. Very Exciting.

Way too far for me. We have really knowledgeable repair people in Ontario too (former Carver repair center techs). Looks like my upgraded M-400s are going there for final check. :(

Why not use a thin rack mount or plate amp instead of something that has a poor track record?

I am just interested in finding repair shops that are qualified to work on Carver gear. Not for me but for the Carver fans out there that are in need of repair or service. Any help in any state/country would be appreciated.

Because I want to try something different? I have amps up the wazoo by now... Dynaco, Carver, Adcom, Marantz, plate Paradigm, Velodyne, CV, and million others... The same reason why you people keep buying different cables and wires I guess.

www.thecarversite.com and www.carveraudio.com - list of the repair sites are posted on both sites. The lists are quite extensive, although I found the local repair shop via canuckaudiomart site.

Other than the 60' of Canare 4S11 I just purchased, I haven't change any cables in a year and a half. :p

Thanks, but I'm the one who assembled those lists. Is the local repair shop on them? If not, could you please provide it so I can add it?

Daniellighting? Get a life and quit messing up the threads just to sell something.
