Peerless Tweeters?

Looks as if there is a set of monitor 7's on ebay that have the Peerless Tweeters, ive been wrong once so this could be the second. :rolleyes:

Most of them only hear how loud it sounds, and the rest of us hear everything else - :rolleyes:

    Yep...those are Peerless. I believe those are Monitor 7B's. I've been watching the auction just to see where it goes.

    Some damn fine speakers there...someone should jump on em.

    Ive never listened to the peerless equiped polks so I really dont know what to expect when I purchase a set. What are the differences from the peerless tweeters that polk used and the sl1000's or sl2000's? Is it really that big of a difference?

    If the seller won’t package the tweeters and drivers separately than you’re taking a big chance.

    Those look like a great set of speakers.

    Could someone expand on the actual 'sound' of the peerless tweeter as I've never heard one. Thanks.

    Well, I can't compare them to the other tweeters that were available in the Monitors, but I have a pair of Monitor 7A's with Peerless tweeters, that I just got about a week ago.

    These tweeters have a very open, airy sound. They're real crisp sounding, without being to bright...and they're overall sort of mellow. They're not harsh sounding at all. I've sat down and listened to these 7A's for 3-4 hours straight a few times since I got them, and I didn't have the slightest hint of ear fatigue. I love em.
