in East Tennesse, just wait a day and it will change. Yesterday it was sunny and 62°. A perfect day to play a round of golf or go for a hike.

TODAY...The view from my office...

3248322432_fd44e17751_o.jpg

It's still slightly above freezing at 33° and the roads are still too warm for the snow to accumulate much. All this means that in the morning all of the slush on the roads will be nice and icy (ie:treacherous) due to the temp dropping into the low 20°s tonight. I can drive on snow covered roads. Ice covered roads are a different matter.

Funny how every metropolitan area (outside of maybe San Diego and Phoenix) think that saying is exclusive to their region. :)

Every "You Know You're From New England if...." that I've ever seen has something to the effect of "if you don't like the weather, just wait five minutes."
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I'm pretty sure this is the same system coming to Virginia tonight Shack. Like you said, have no problems driving in the snow but ice is a totally different matter. It's not my driving that bothers me though, it's all the other dumbass's driving around me, as soon as the first flake hits the ground I think a light goes off in their heads called, "I can't drive worth a $hit. :D

It's been really icy here in northern Illinois lately. We've still got some 8-9 inches of snow on the ground from the last few snow storms. It keeps warming up enough during the day so that some of it melts, and get's the sidewalks all wet, but then at night it cools down enough so that it freezes. It's been pretty slippery out for the last few days...I'm ready to get out of northern Illinois...lol

Really? I always thought that in Boston it was "If you don't like the weather in Boston...da weather? What are ya, retahded?"

I know in Jersey it's "If you don't like the weather in Jersey...Weather? Yo pal, I got your weather right here!"

I tried to head back to Dallas the Monday before the ice in Dallas. Oklahoma City however, the roads froze up early in the morning, had to turn back, zero traction and slid everywhere. I believe there were over 700 accidents in Dallas that Wednesday.

Everything shut down for the dusting of snow that you show on the roof?

Oh, and in our datacenter at work, we run a/c year round. We don't have rooftop units, so they don't even have the option of pulling in outside air.
    Ludicrous gibs!

I wish it would get a little colder in California. The spa is more enjoyable when the air temp is in the 50s, or lower.

Sounds like we had the nicest weather in Maine lol. Very ironic. No snow here and tomorrow we MIGHT get some showers/flurries.
