is the top and bottom of lsi's paint or plastic

My LSI 9's have some scratches on top and bottom. If it is paint can i use some kind of scratch remover, or is the top and bottom plastic. If plastic, can the scratches still be taken off.

    You might try some Maquires "Scratch-X" on a scratch on the bottom as a test...I don't know if it's a laminate or some type of paint--I would quess it's a laminate.

    Depends on when they were made, the newer models are a laquer/paint type finish.

    I would suggest contacting Polk CS during normal hours.
