I just purchased these speakers and on the back of the subwoofer there is an audio L and R channel. now on the back of my receiver there is only 1 subwoofer spot. Just wondering if I plug it into just 1 of the L or R channels and to the sub spot on the back of my receiver or do I buy a Y spliter? sorry I'm pretty new to this stuff and The damn manual is pretty bleak.

I'm not 100% percent sure what you are asking here, but I'll give this a shot. If your AVR has an input that says something like "Subwoofer," "Subwoofer Preout" or "Subwoofer Preamp" and your sub has an LFE input run a single coax cable from your AVR to your sub and than you can control everything from your AVR. If your sub does not have a LFE input you are going to need a Y cable and all you gotta do is plug the coax cable from your AVR and plug the Y cable into the L&R inputs on your sub. Is this any help?
