Starts slow, blatant coincidences, protagonist always at the right place. However, this movie was a blast to watch. I'm very surprised Liam Neeson would take this type of role but he obviously leveraged his Batman Begins training as he goes medieval on people. In a nutshell, think of this as an older, divorced Jason Bourne going after his daughter's kidnappers.

Very enjoyable. Avoid if you don't like vigilante or Jason Bourne movies.

I was having a sucky day, I left work about 3:00 and went to see this one. I was the ONLY person in the theater. Talk about a private showing. A very cool popcorn flick.

Liam plays the part of the EX-spy very convincingly...
"But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you. "

This is probably a buy for me when it comes out on DVD.

I need you focused... ARE YOU FOCUSED YET?

Maybe it's just that I have a particular love for this type of movie, but this was some of the most raw, brutal stuff I've seen in a while. Liam Neeson was a big surprise in this kind of role. I've watched the import DVD 4 times now with various friends, all of whom loved it.

I'm glad to see Luc Besson associated with a good movie for a change. The last thing he did I liked was my favorite movie, The Fifth Element.

This movie in my opinion is very entertaining but not a great movie. I would highly recommend seeing it but don't expect the next best thing. i personally thought it was well worth watching and passing on.

Bah, to predictable, the acting was forced to the point of making the characters unbelieveable and nothing original about any of it. One star.
