Picked up an old f-1200 off craiglist for a couple hundred bucks.Much improvement over the free psw10 that came with the lsi9's.& it's only 100 watts. Original owner bought it new in 95. Not a scratch on it.Looks brand new.
So I go over to check it out yesterday.Guy lives in the west austin area. Very affluent part of Austin. Townhouse that was drop dead gorgeous. Kitchen counter tops of marble musta been 20' long on both sides.
We go into the living area where he had the 1200 hooked up so I could hear it.14 ft ceilings .Pioneer flat screen on the wall.Biggest flat panel I've ever seen in a home.Had 3 paradigm speakers on the wall with it. Room wasn't super big but good sized. He put on some Rush & then Genesis. Filled the room with sound easliy.I ask him why he wanted to sell the 1200. He opened a little door underneath the TV & showed me the sub he's using now.Little bitty 8in paradigm sub. It was kinda cute. He said his wife wouldn't allow a big sub like the 1200 out in the open. YIKES WAF was in effect big time.I wanted to ask him if he still had his balls but probably wouldn't went over to well.
Felt really bad for the guy.He didn't want to sell his nice big sub but said he hasn't used it in several years. He just kept playing music.Didn't wanna let it go. I hadda pry the damn thing outta his hands outside. Also told me if there was any problem with it, call him -- he would buy it back !!!!!!!!Super nice guy. Really took good care of the 1200.Good craigslist experience.
He had the manual but no original box.
