Some of you photographers may know this. However I need to keep this in the low 100's for pricing.

And....I think this should be post 1,000 for me.

I guess you're asking best at that price range and not best, cuz you'd definitely be spending a lot more than that to get the best. IMO it's going to be tough to get something with really good color accuracy in an lcd at a low price (i guess it depends on what size you're looking for too), but I would suggest just researching the major brands and seeing which ones rate the best at your budget. Brands like samsung, NEC, and I believe viewsonic is sitll good.

Not sure if you're set on an LCD, but personally I think CRTs are still the way to go for any kind of image/visual design work. I have an lcd for regular daily use, but I use my CRT whenever I do image editing or anything like that. And these days you can get them at a good price since everyone is moving to lcd's etc. Just a thought.

For that price wouldn't it be best to just stick with a crt? Cheap LCDs always caused problems for me because the top of the screen seems slightly lighter than the bottom. It was always a pain in the **** for me when I was using photoshop; almost like every file had a gradient effect.
