I snagged it while the price was low, thanks to the price tracking on blu-ray.com. Not advertising for them, but they track Amazon and send you an e-mail when a title drops below whatever price point you set. That's how I've ended up with Band Of Brothers and The Bourne Trilogy this week. :P
    Equipment list:
    Onkyo TX-NR3010 9.2 AVR
    Emotiva XPA-3 amp
Polk RTi70 mains, CSi40 center, RTi38 surrounds, RTi28 rears and heights
SVS 20-39CS+ subwoofer powered by Crown XLS1500
    Oppo BDP-93 Blu-ray player
    DarbeeVision DVP5000 video processor
    Epson 8500UB 1080p projector
Elite Screens Sable 120" CineWhite screen

Bookmark the 'show new deals' link. It's surprising what good titles show up there and at what price every day. I like that you can get a price history for any title so you know when a title is at a deep discount (hover over the chart icon). It also shows just how regularly and deeply amazon discounts their blu-rays. Some even before the title is released, some only a few months after.

Band of Brothers seems to be only $37.49 now.

I don't see a show new deals link, and the hover over the add to card button does nothing for me - you must be in a different section...

I was talking about the http://www.blu-ray.com/ site in kuntasensei's post. The show new deals link is on the menu to the right at the top. There are little chart icons near the titles of movies that show price histories when you hover.

Much easier than trying to find all the blu-ray deals on amazon's own site.

    Thought I'd post this...

Not long ago, they released a new sku with the pacific sampler and jacked the price up to over 60 bucks.

It's now back down to $36.99 at Amazon. Those new to blu-ray who missed the first discounted sku might consider picking this up as it's still one of the best box sets out there, IMHO, and is now at a bargain price again.

Best box set ever, imo. Pacific tries to match with the depth and immersion you get from BoB, but it falls short imo.

Bull! BOB never had it so hard as the Marines on the Canal.

The actual marines definitely had some of the hardest and worst battles in the Pacific, no doubt. As far as how the story is being told though...I just got drawn in more with BoB than The Pacific.

    That's just me though.
