C500.1 PreEQ settings

Hi, I just setup my C500.1 with two MM2104 subs and having some questions with setting it up. I have selected the "PreEQ" setting as I am using polk components, but I want to know what settings this has implemented.
Does this set the LP filter slope or frequency?
Does it set the bass boost frequency or gain?
Also, my head unit has 4V preamp outputs. If I use the remote gain module, what settings should I use with the input controls? The manual says to set the gain to max but doesnt specify "high" or "low". Does 4V preamps count as high or low?
