Distance betwween mains
What is the ideal distance between the front mains for HT? Right now main are about 6 feet apart because of room constraints but I'm guessing they should be more like 10 feet about ideally.

For HT? It all depends on the room, distance to listening position, size of the TV, and personal preference. A good rule of thumb is that it should be equal or less than the distance to the seating position; some other things to consider: not too far away from the TV, not too close to side walls. Usually the position is limited by room size. If space allows, experiment a bit and see what you like best._________________________________________________

SOPAThank God for different opinions. Imagine the world if we all wanted the same woman -
What Ricardo said. And also, the beam-width of the speaker will have a lot to do with ideal distances.
