Lie To Me

Anybody see this show yet?

It's frustrating.

The sheeple I have to deal with every day in my daily contacts with other people are walking around and telling each other "you're lying. I can tell" and then they quote something from this show and use it as the reason for why they "know".

One woman even told me that she is watching the show regularly because she is learning alot about people lying and what to look for.

Yeah, uhhh, frustrating is about the nicest possible way I could put it.

I only watch educational programs with the kids. TV has just gone downhill so much in the last 10 years I don't care to watch it anymore. I have an antenna on the roof, and digital converter box on a 19" CRT that doesn't even have video inputs. I have a 480p projector with a 400 disc DVD changer that takes care of any movie needs I have with no monthly bills;)
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

    I love stuff like this.

Like when a coworker/family member tries to diagnose your problem based on what they saw on House/Grey's Anatomy/Scrubs.

Yet another reason I stopped watching TV. Just nothing good on, and anything that is good I can watch online w/out the ads.

Exactly. Or the fact that prosecutors find it impossible to convict anyone with a jury anymore because everyone watches CSI and thinks forensic evidence is everywhere and very cut and dry and easy to get.

But as for you guys saying TV has "gone downhill"... you're being retarded. Yes, there's more crap on TV, but that's just because there's so many more stations. If you get a DVR and only record the things you want to see, a) you don't have to watch all the stupid ads, and b) the actual quality of the GOOD stuff is FAR better than 10 years ago. There's more crap to sift through to get to the gems, but the gems are way brighter than they have ever been.

I know the girl in that show from somewhere, but I don't know where from and haven't bothered to look, but at some point it'll hit me what show she's been on before.......

Ok, went to IMDB.....she was one of the lawyers on The Practice with Dylan McDermott......(i'm impatient)

It's easy to find out. Just look here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1235099/

And yeah, I can't see more than 3 episodes and I think the premise is quite stupid. Although the acting seemed fairly good and the writing is good but, again, lipstick on a pig, ya know?

I just saw this too and it make me laugh 'cause it's true!

The tube has always been a fine time waster. Nothing more. There are a
couple of networks like History or Discovery that are good. But how many
WWII clips can you really watch before going stir crazy?

Ever see the SCiFI ghost guys? A bunch of plumbers moonlighting as
paranormal investigators. I watched one show. I now call it
    Ghosto-rooter. What a complete waste. There's a reason I went
    five years without a tv.

Maybe prime-time pro wrestling will come back... or maybe they'll clone Uncle Milty, and we can watch him all over again.

What do you mean "come back"? It never left. Just because you don't watch it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

In fact, WWE is some of the highest rated sports programming on TV. I think only national championships like the Super Bowl, the NCAA basketball championships and the World Series beat it out. WWE even trumps the Olympics most years. And they only have one show on primetime, broadcast TV. WWE Smackdown, if it's still on whatever network the UPN turned in to. Everything else is on cable or PPV.

    Yes Bob I am retarded:)
OK you need to spend $70-80 a month to get the 4 stations that would really interest me with Sat or cable. How many shows are there that I would really want to watch. I am not just talking about I have nothing better to do kill time kinda thing. OK Now how much does that add up to in $ per hour? I'll pass. That money could be spent renting something I really want to watch. Fortunately in my area there a 20 solid digital OTA stations. Some in HD if that is your thing. New ones are coming out fast because people are getting sick of the same old 120 channels of crap to watch. I know where you are is probably fairly limited to OTA digital:( As for gems I see no gems in newer shows. I like to spend my time learning, and taking care of my kids instead of filling my time on sitcomes...

TV doesnt' even interest me anymore. Why would I want to pay 60-80 dollars a month to watch four different shows? Damn near everything on TV these days is ridiculous. It has absolutely no value of any kind...it's just mindless filler crap thats meant to keep stupid people entertained. I'll wait for the shows I do wanna watch to come out on DVD myself. I haven't even had cable or satellite for the last few years, and I'm not really bothered by that fact in the slightest.

Well, it all depends on your interests of course; the vast majority of TV I watch is on the networks, so it technically wouldn't cost anything, or very little, as they are all available OTA.
How many shows are there that I would really want to watch.
I like to spend my time learning, and taking care of my kids instead of filling my time on sitcomes...

Well, look, if you don't like TV, that's fine, I just was speaking to people who claim to like TV but can't find anything on nowadays compared to 10 years ago. TV of now has WAY more quality programming than anytime before, ASSUMING WATCHING TV AT ALL IS SOMETHING THAT INTERESTS YOU.

Just like if I said fishing reels of today sucked. Sure, I don't like to fish, so I think everything about fishing sucks, but I'm sure the technology for reels is actually better now than it's ever been, and my opinion on it is worthless.
