Extremely rare AC/DC Black Ice mispress

I posted a couple months ago about serendipitously obtaining a mispressed copy of AC/DC's Black Ice on vinyl. It is a two record 180 gram pressing and side two of record one instead of AC/DC has The Clash playing live at Shea Stadium. A very rare and cool find. Turns out the place I bought it from for $20.00 Canadian dollars had 20 shipped to them in total and every one that they had sold so far was a mispress because customers complained. I bought all their remaining stock which was 5 more LP's. Well I just stumbled across this on Ebay:

Holy Canoli Batman!!! $432.00 Ausie dollars for the same record that I now own 6 of!! To say I'm totally stoked is an understatement.

Looks like a sweet find there. Things like that are always good to hang on to...all those people that were upset and returned them will be kicking themselves now.
Ya never know what's gonna be worth a lot of money.
My dad collects antique space toys and robots...things like that. One of the things he collects is Star Wars toys...some of those things are worth insane amounts of money. He had a Boba Fett action figure that he sold for around 600 dollars a few years back. It was worth a ton of money because it was a factory defect. Normally the action figure should have a round dot on the right hand...his only had half of a dot though. Apparently there were only 50 or so that got through the factory like that, so it had big collectible value. Turned a 9 dollar investment into 600 bucks. Not bad.The nirvana inducer-

Make sure to unload while the market is HOT. It's not like you have a Beatles butcher cover. When the newness of the AC/DC release fades...............I'm betting so will the mega dollars for the mis-pressings you own."Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Solid advice. I should have sold my baseball cards years ago. What used to be worth 20 bucks a pop is worth next to nothing now. I guess I'll wait for the next card fad to hit, and then sell them...2007 Club Polk Football Pool Champ

On a side note... that performance by The Clash is stellar. Completely upstaged their headliners The Who.I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Excellent advice indeed. I'm preparing one for sale on Ebay now. I'll keep you all posted as to what the outcome is.SDA-1C (full mods)

Hey nadams, I see you have a Hafler pre-amp. How do you like it? I have a Hafler DH-220 amp that sounds pretty good and I wondered how the pre sounded. A local pawn shop has one but I'm reluctant to switch from my Carver C-1 pre on my bedroom rig. And yes, I'm off topic on my own post. By the way LP is listed on Ebay. We will see what the market is like for this hopefully rare LP.SDA-1C (full mods)

I have an SACD like that. It is a "Living Stereo" series (82876-61397-2 RE1) of Tchaikovsky's "Symphony No.6, Op. 74 in B Minor "Pathetique" ". However, it turns out that the SACD version is an album "Rite Time" by Can, and the CD version is Tchaikovsky.
When I first played it I was thinking Tchaikovsky was really ahead of his time.Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable

I just sold one of these LP's on Ebay for $284.99!! Not quite the astronomical number of the other one but pretty good for a $20.00 investment. I've got deals cooking on two more and will keep one for myself. I gave one to my best friend for a birthday gift. The last one was a proper copy for my LP collection. This all started when my car broke down in front of an electronics store and I was waiting for a tow. Went in the store and found an AC/DC LP went home and it was a mispress. This will certainly help pay the mechanics bill on the fuel pump replacement.SDA-1C (full mods)

Nice! It's always great when things like that happen.
Good call on hanging onto one though. That's a collectible item...someday it may be worth even more money. It's always nice to have rare items in your collection too.The nirvana inducer-
