Does the CS2 match well enough with the TSi series to use as a center? Or should I stick with the M50's or 60's?

They would match just fine. The Monitor series and the TSi series are essentially the same speaker, just different cosmetics.

Curt is right and I say if you can find the monitors buy those because it will save you alot of money because places are clearing out their monitor inventory for the TSI inventory.

    Millenial Ccurt,

Has got you on this. CS2, I have one. It's great, perhaps the Rti center is better but in its price range the CS2 is awesome! And yeah the two series, M and TSI are pretty similar.

What are your actual differences. The TSI towers are bottom ported where as the Ms have a front port..this makes the Ms easier to place, IMO. The TSI towers have a standard 2.5Khz crossover, the M series all cross over somewhere in the 2-2.6khz range. The M70s have are a 2.5 way cascade system--meaning that one of their mid-woofers does not play the in the exact same frequency range as the other 3. Their counterparts the TSI-500s seem to be merely a two-way system so all 4 woofers play the same range.

TSI cabinetry is a bit larger in volume, not much. But it is a tad lighter in weight. Soundwise it's hard to tell any differences except that I find that bottom port to be a bit finicky. It adds some bass but the bass is less controlled than the front port Ms, again that's just my opinion.

In any case. Buy whatever is best for you the CS2 crosses over at 2.3Khz, all TSI models crossover at 2.5Khz. I doubt this will make any difference in matching. Although Polk has 'standardized' the crossover point of all TSIs for some reason.

cnh pretty much covered all the bases in that post.

In my opinion, you'd probably be better off just going with the Monitor series. They're going to have essentially the same sound...there will be a small difference I'd imagine, but for the price difference the Monitors are the better buy really. You can get the Monitor series for pretty cheap now.

I do much prefer the cosmetics of the TSi's though personally. The silver faces on the Monitors look out of place...the all wood faces of the TSi's look much better IMO.

I own all Monitors (70's for my fronts and 40's for surrounds) and have been nothing but pleased by their performance. I have heard the TSi series and did not hear a big enough difference to wish I had waited for their release to buy instead of the Monitors. I would recommend the Monitors, if you can get your hands on them, they will be much cheaper and will have pretty much the same if not better performance than the TSi series. As stated they are pretty much the same speaker (TSi's "replaced" the Monitors this year) and paired with the CS2, will be a great system. However, as stated there would be no problem using the CS2 with the TSi series.
