I saw that on ebay a few days ago...got it on my watch list.

I figured it was for display purposes or something of that nature. It'll probably have some collectible value someday...pretty cool.

I just equate the clear / neon light look with putting $25000 worth of rims, crazy graphics, aftermarket parts, and neon lights onto a $9000 Honda Civic. I mean, if you're into that kind of thing, more power to you. I just don't find it all that classy. I think of a high-end speaker like a high end car -- if I'm spending the money, give me black paint, real wood, and put the rest of the money into parts made of unobtainium so that the price tag is justified by the performance and not the flash... just my 2cents...

It was simply a demo for brick and mortar stores....nothing more, nothing less.

Sounds like a high-end amp, for goodness sake... :D I'm not optimistic about the sound, but I'm not an engineer (let alone a materials engineer). ...Curt... Take MPEGs!
