Well i just started playin COD4 online and was lookin at gettin a headset but dont really know which one to get.

Can anyone recommend a inexpensive one?

Walmart has a paltronics 233 or somethin like that for 29.99 and my local gameshop has a logitech wired one for the same price.

Ive heard the wired one is less problematic.

Thanx n advance

I got a wireless blue tooth head set for fairly cheap at BB, and it took all of about 2 minutes to sync up with the PS3. Much better than dealing with the wire, and I can charge it with the same USB cord I charge my controllers with.

I have the official one from Socom as well and it is horrible. I just grabbed my old BT headset I used for an old phone (motorola 850) and it worked amazing. Then I broke it accidentally so now I'm using a motorola H500 and it's decent. I got a deal here for the Motorola H12 but have yet to hear when it's shipping...

Long story short, just get a decent one for a phone and sync it. Obviously I am a motorola guy.

I have heard that the wired ones are less problematic, but I think they only have about a 10ft cord on them. I have had 2 bluetooth headsets (one my son broke) and the second one works just fine. I have a Plantronics 220, I bought it at BB for like $40 and it works everytime I play COD4. My son had one from the Warcraft bundle and it was junk, it was a Jabra.

I ended up buyin the same brand from walmart for 30 and it works ok. But it doesnt have a mute on it.

A guy on cod4 lst night said the ps3 bluetooth was real good. Im still thinkin about returnin the one i have and gettin the ps3 bluetooth.
