Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

Originally, he wanted to trade for these: http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77317

I then had to fly to Seattle to smack some sense into him and gave him a $50 bill.

It was an expensive slap to say the least. He probably also could have saved shipping costs by taking the Compendium with him on the return trip... :D

I joined the group too late to get in on the original buys. Was it DarqueKnight who did the latest?

At any rate, does anyone know if these will these ever be published in volume again.

I'm working on adding another pair of polks to my SDA-2B and SRS 2 collection and I'm guessing I'll be a member here for the next 50 years :) Owning a Compendium would be a blessing!

I've been trying for over a year, it doesn't appear likely that there will be another run.

All the information in the book can be found here on the forum.

Someday these will be true collectors items if they havent reached that staus yet  I was lucky enough to have gotten a copy of the second edition and if I had any sense what so ever I would never part with mine, but I have read this several times and gleaned about as much info as I am likely to ever need and have came to the conclusion that the only SDA's that I will be likely to purchase in the future is possibly 2 or 3 pair of CRS's for a center and surrounds for my SDA SRS 1.2 TL's which is highly unlikely for a couple reasons one being my location, secondly im a 2 channel kind of guy. So I have no use for it other than having this as a handy guidebook for answering questions on the forum.

Rather than gloating and being selfish keeping it I will post an for sale ad in the flea market area with three conditions. One being that you must be a member with at least 500 posts. The second condition is that you must own SDA's. The third condition will choose the lucky buyer, that being the member has been here the longest with 500 posts or more will get first shot. I think that is only fair. The ad will go up in a few minutes and stay till fri midnight whoever responds by then that meets those conditions will get it

I should have bought two. Mine has been read many times front to back;) A clean copy under glass displayed in a coffee table, or hung on a wall would be the bomb for any SDA cultist. He certainly could raise the price to $50 and that would be something I wouldn't snivel about one bit.
Edit. I wonder if DK could be persuaded into it if there were enough people who would pre order them???
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben
