Found a pair of SDA 1 for sale. $275.00 including shipping. Missing 2 drivers from each speaker. How much do the replacement drivers go for and is this a good deal.

Do you know which model they are? If they are 1C's, and the rest of the drivers and cabinet is in great shape, it may be worth it. If not, I'd pass.

I'd pass... shipping is going to kill the deal.. you'll be into that pair of speakers for a good $425+ before you even get them to you in who knows what condition. + the cost of new mid bass drivers... you're looking at a minimum of another $200 = $625 + whatever other damage repair is needed.

pass, pass, pass and don't look back.

Asking $100.00 for the pair with $175.00 for shipping. The picture on the rear shows SDA 1 without any other designator. Gonna try and attach pics.:confused:Not working.

most all models of SDA's whether they be SDA 1's or SDA 2's, usually only show the SDA 1 or SDA2, rarely will they say, SDA 2B, or SDA 1C, etc, etc. But the larger SRS's usually do show what version they are... ala SRS 1.2TL, etc.

attaching pictures in here requires that they be less than 1 mb in size I believe.

Private message me and i can give yo umy email address and I can post them for you if it doesn't work again. :)

Just saw another post from another member about the same item on ebay. Looks like the consensus is two thumbs down. But now I just saw a listing for a pair of SDA CRS speakers with dual drivers and tweeters. Asking $285.00 for the pair. Though it would mean a 4 hr roundtrip drive. The lengths we go to for supreme sound.

The side by side tweeters is not the best SDA's to get unless you get them very cheap. Next step up is the blade blade SDA's with the pin blade models being the most sought. What are your room dimensions are the first thing to figure out. Also SDA's like to be placed on the long wall.

Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

Seen some deals in the SF bay for SRS 1.2TL's but $2300 is a little steep.
I think there are better deals on midwest and east coast. Kudos on your refurb great looking speakers.

Ben, are you saying the physical placement of the tweeters side-by-side is not a good design? Or just that model overall is not so good in terms of electronics also?
That set is already going to be a project for someone if it lacks 4 drivers, but for a C-note plus it might be worth picking up......

That's not steep. You may find them for less from time to time, but don't hold your breath.

    Ben,
Yes I don't believe $2300 is steep for the 1.2TL's. Just a little steep for me. Another question. Found SDA 1's local for $385.00. Good deal or not? Other posts have noted that the side-by-side tweets are not a good design. Why or why not.
