When talking about connectors (banana plugs in general) what's better, gold or silver?

Gold as there is no oxidisation at all, which will not deteriorate the connection properties, but bare wire is best IMO, check with monoprice.com
may get a good deal. -
Silver connectors are to soft. The Gold ones are sturdier. I have some AQ silver connectors that just don't hold up. Both oxidize.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

oxidized silver is in fact an excellent conducter, one of the metals few advantages over copper.

Nice cables.Someone once told me that if I didn't turn my music down I'd be deaf by the time I was 30. Well I'll be 30 soon and I can still hear just fine.

I always understood that solid silver connectors, with gold plating were the best. I'm no expert though, so don't take that for a fact. The nirvana inducer-
