Im setting up a home theatre system and I need some help finding a centre channel and a subwoofer. i have 4 front speakers 2 are energy tower speakers and 2 are cerwin-vega and my rears are 2 old fisher tower speakers.
My amp can handle 100 watts for a front channel. I have a budget of about $500. And can I put a down firing subwoofer on concert?

You have four front speakers? Are they all running at the same time, or on seperate systems?
And I assume you mean can you put a down firing sub on carpet, not concert, right? If that is what you meant, then yes you can.The nirvana inducer-

concrete?
Maybe that's what it was. In that case, the answer is still yes though. Concrete isn't exactly the most acoustical flooring choice though...The nirvana inducer-

ya there are 4 front.
Concrete my mistake.
tile on concrete i'm not sure if that make any difference. -
My HT has a Definitive Technology Prosub 100tl which is front firing. It is located in the basement on concrete. It does rumble pretty well but not as well when I had my HT not in the basement.
I would try to look for a sub that is not down firing and place it in a corner. I am wanting a Sunfire True Signature sub which at 2700 watts should make a differnece. You should be able to pick up a Sunfire Jr. sub used in your price range. Smaller version of the Signature but will rock very well also.Sunfire TGP, Sunfire Cinema Grand, Sunfire 300~2 (2), Sunfire True Sub (2),Carver ALS Platinum, Carver AL III, TFM-55, C-19, C-9, TX-8, SDA-490t, SDA-390t -
thats kinda out of my price range do you have any other ideas?
what about a centre channel??
