The Raconteurs - Consolers of the Lonely

I picked this up on the way home today based on hearing the song "Old Enough" this past weekend. Been down in the basement trying not to crank it and disturb She Who Is With Child And Shall Not Be Riled who's 2 floors north in bed. I'm pretty impressed so far. The lyrics are dark at times and whitty most. Jack White's got a pretty good rock and roll voice; the drummers style reminds me of Moon or Bonham, fast on the bass pedal, flailing on the toms. Pretty well recorded, not too much in the way of compression compared to some of the other new releases I've heard. It's the first new music I've picked up in quite some time that I find consistently enjoyable.
