Simple wire question

New here and I already received some good advice already on speakers.....so now I need to replace the HTIB wires that I'm currently running. I don't wanna spend alot of cash until I can upgrade my system, so I have ordered some 14g from monoprice. Somewhere in these posts I read something decent about monoprice and bluejeans wire for cheaper wiring solutions until I'm ready to become one of the big boys!! I will be using this for Onkyo 606, R30 front, M30 rear, CS2, PSW111. So I hope the wires I have ordered will be ok for now. Thanks for any input on wire advice. Is 14g wire the correct size because I don't have too far to run the wire to any of the speakers?

yes. and i dont know anything about monoprice (although i am sure there is nothing wrong with them either), but bluejeans will be just fine even for "big boys" as you say.

seeing as you just joined your "for now" is perfect. In a couple months of reading and participating you'll want to upgrade...you'll see

Back before Monster Cable and the like people would use 12 gauge Romex with great success. It does not have all the twists per inch but a lot of copper between your amp and speakers.

Hey Willow, it's been a few days and I'm ready to upgrade...lol. I have to remember there's always the basement and bedrooms to fill with speakers!!
