Nik...PM me a quote to paint these side panels of this Denon amp. I'll take care of the shipping both ways, and the color black.
FYI Nik these side panels are a laminate over MDF(?) maybe(?). They may need to stripped. I may have some solid oak laying around to get the matching coat to the 1C's he has.........

Probably. We don't use lacquer anymore....

    Only Base coat clear coat..

It would be a piano black finish... And more durable..

You idiot! If you're going to troll on forums with spam, you should at least match the language to the country of the forum in question! We here on CP are a very cultured bunch IMO (myself excluded, of course), and quite smart, on the whole too (again, myself excluded), but we don't generally know how to recognize mortgage financing spam in French! LOL!

Hey Nik, might have to take you up on your offer.

I've got a subwoofer I'm building, and considered going for a gloss look (piano finish that is). I'll let you know when I've got it built and figured out what color I want exactly :D

Btw, I still got that jacket in case you might use it for a special lady-friend ;)

And you know what. I just met a girl the other night that may be a keeper.

That jacket would fit her perfect. I'll let you know.

Just to let people know and give an idea of what things cost.

I've had a few inquiries in the past and gave a quote and never heard back again. Just so everyone know's. It's not exactly cheap. I think its cheap for what you get. But most people don't understand what's involved.

First off. The materials alone for just about anything. Start at $100. There's a lot. I have to use multiple PPG body fillers to fill cracks, voids, seams and general flaws. Then everything has to be primered with a high build PPG primer. Then eveything is hand sanded by me. Then prepped and cleaned and then PPG base coat is applied. Then PPG Clear coat is applied. All of these materials require hardners and reducers. Sand paper. Masking tape, Masking paper. Razor blades. Rubber gloves. Buffing compound. Towels. You get the picture.

Plus my time. I apply and sand the fillers by hand. Apply the primer and hand sand. Apply the base coat and clear coat. It cures for two days. And then I wet sand and buff everything to a mirror finish. The complete process takes 4-7 days. One day to get it ready and primered. One day to sand the primer and paint. two days to cure. Another day to wet sand and buff.

I haven't done enough of this type of stuff to be able to give a set price on anything yet.

But. $250 for bookshelf speakers is a good idea.

Less for smaller stuff. More for bigger stuff.

Hope this helps anybody and gives a better idea of the process and where you hard earned money is going! lol I assure you I'm not getting rich off this sort of stuff!

And with it being high quality automotive grade materials. And the nature of audio equipment being stored indoors. It will likely last forever.

    Hope this helps.

If anyone has any other questions or concerns. Please feel free to ask or PM me.

    Thanks.

    Nik
