Man, Larry Fitzgerald has just gone off this postseason. He was widely considered one of the top WR's in the game. After this postseason, he HAS to be THE best WR in the game right now. He set the postseason yardage record already (still has one game left). 23 catches, 420 yards and 5 td's in 3 playoff games against "superior" defensive teams. Simply inmpressive! The Cards will no longer be considered the doormats of the NFC!!!!!

I see that McNabb didn't have time during the game to make any phone calls from the Cardinals' sideline.

Yes, he was too busy losing the game.

And yes, I'm taking quite a deal of pleasure in the Eagles loss.

I'm not a racist at all. I cannot be called a racist because I am not a white man. What I am is someone who witnessed first hand a man lose his job because he dared say something as innocuous as that the media wants McNabb to succeed and has an interest in seeing he does from a public opinion perspective.

The fact that you and others like you immediately throw the race card speaks far more about you being racist then me.

    Two things here:

    Number one:
    joev11 wrote: »
The eagles can't win the big games and McNabb would have been released 3 years ago if he were white.

You suck and you can take your comments and shove them up your own ****. Thanks for shittin' up my thread. Bad enough the Eagles, McNabb and soon to be Reid are mentioned in it but it didn't need your racist comments. So thanks dude, you're a real wiener.

    Number two:
Eagles fans suck. You do. You all do. A month ago, you were all lamenting the fact that the Eagles suck, McNabb was made of glass and past his prime and Reid was a bumbling fool at the head coach position. You were all calling for their dismissals summarily. Then, they continue to play high school level ball against teams that were categorically better than the Eagles but for whatever reasons decided not to show up to play the games. The Eagles capitalize and end up with a mediocre record and a shot at the Super Bowl by default.

After telling everyone through the month of December how much you hated your own beloved team you all decided that McNabb was a god and Reid was the smartest man alive again because they played the favored Cowboys who decided implode and you beat them. But that was a non-issue unless 3 other, not impossible but really unlikely things happened. Well, the planets must have aligned and hearingimpaired must have been swing the dead cat above his head just perfectly and by some luck of the gods, the Eagles got a default ride to the play offs because 3 other teams decided to suck hard at the wrong time.

So the Eagles get in with a pooptastic record and an "elite" quarterback that doesn't even know the overtime rules. Now, all of a sudden, even though they trashed the team for most of the season, all of Philly has the Eagles winning the Super Bowl, saving kittens in trees, rescuing puppies from mine shafts, helping little old ladies across the street, changing bricks in to gold and just generally shittin' rainbows again. Pfft! Yeah, what a freakin' joke!

So the Eagles go to the playoffs, get lucky and beat the Vikings and the Giants. They beat the best team in the worst division of the NFC who also got in by default and think it's something to be proud of. It was just a suckfest of a game between two teams whose regular season play did not warrant their playoff berths. All that came out of it was the least sucktastic team won and went to play the Giants.

The Giants, there was a joke of a game! McNabb, who was on the block to get canned just two weeks earlier, is now a QB heading to the NFC Championship because even though the Eagles offense didn't even put up half of the points and McNabb completes less than 50% of the passes, the Giants offense was just as ineffective in putting up points. Why did the Giants not get any points on defense? Because, if McNabb, who can't handle pressure, throws the ball out of bounds on more than 50% of his throws to avoid being sacked, you can't force turnovers. Yeah, all the credit for any success for the Eagles goes entirely to the defense and they deserve the Super Bowl but because of the crappy offense and the most over-rated QB in the NFL right now, McNabb, one of the best defenses to ever play the game will likely never get a ring and that sucks.

But hey, they are the Eagles, they should be used to the sucking by now.

So that leads us to yesterday. Going in to the game, the Eagles are favored by everyone, including the media pundits. The Eagles fans are showing their spelling skills and chanting at the top of their lungs every where they go. The stadiums, bars, restaurants, funerals, art galleries, libraries, you know, all the usual places high class people randomly chant a fight song at the top of their lungs. The game starts and the Eagles fans are gleeing all of their pants until the first drive by the Cardinals and all you could hear all over Philly was a loud POP as that big 'ole bubble burst and reality punched them in the face like an angry bouncer at 2am Sunday morning kicking their drunk **** out of the night club. Then what sealed the deal on the afternoon of misery was Akers in his stunning display of ineptitude to kick a ball in the clinch, decided to miss an extra point. A cake shot, in a dome, he missed so far wide right you could have put another set of goal posts right next to the ones he was aiming for and he would have still missed. Nevermind that so much, Wisenhunt has the secret to beating the Eagles. Rush McNabb. Put pressure on him and make him throw in to a screen. He's so scared of negative stats that he launches the ball out of play every time. You don't need to worry about stopping the run because Reid has one of the best running backs to ever play the game but he'll never use him. So many teams concentrate on taking Westbrook out of the game and needlessly so. They could make a paved path lined with opponents defensive players, covered in a red carpet, straight to the endzone for Westbrook to waltz down, shaking hands along the way and Reid will still have McNabb throw to Curtis who is rocketing down the sidelines in double coverage just so Curtis can either catch it out of bounds or drop it.

Yeah, so, this morning, the Eagles are losers yet again, people are saying that it was the "old McNabb" yet again and they are calling for Reid's dismissal, yet again. I feel sorry for the Eagles to have such fair-weather fans. I feel sorry for a group of people who have the unfortunate circumstance to have to deal with all the hype surrounding an over-rated QB and a head coach that doesn't seem to understand his roster. They deal with the drama and the BS. They blamed Owens for it but Owens left and they are still where they were when he was there. It's not even the Eagles I can't stand so much. I don't really like seeing them lose because of any stupid rivalry or a stupid personal vendetta against the team of people I have never met or will likely never know. I like seeing the Eagles lose because of the torment it puts the fair-weather fans through.

This morning, all over the radio, at work, on the train ride in, even on the TV, it's the same Eagles story. They were vying for a Championship, lost and now everyone has gone back to lamenting the sucktastic performance of the team and telling everyone that will listen how horrible they all are. Good job Eagles fans, way to support your team by kicking them when they are down. So keep booing Santa Clause, keep dumping beer on 6 year old Cowboys fans, keep warranting the placement of a Philadelphia PD precinct house in your stadiums. I think you're the biggest reason the Eagles suck so much.

Well said Jstas. Eagles fan are FAR AND AWAY the worst fans in existence. And I'm including anywhere in the world soccer is played and hooligans cross the turnstiles.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Get over it, duuude. If a team can't win the big ones then the team is a loser and the leader is the biggest loser. I don't care how many games they won in Dec. They lost in the playoffs and haven't been to the SB since before Teddy Kennedy killed Mary Jo Koepeckne.

The Eagles blow, plain and simple. Killing the messenger won't make them blow any less. As for the Giants, they beat a team everyone claimed was the best EVER. Plus they have won a few SB since the last time the Eagles have, wouldn't you say.
