Hi everyone!
I have SDA SRS 2 that won't be of any use in my new much smaller house :(
I would like to hear some advice to how to sell and how much to sell for. The thing is my stereo wall is full of contraptions I would love to sell altogether to a true music connoiseur. Please, needs some advice how to find buyers. Ebay is the way?
would love to hear any opinion, if you got it bring it on!

peace&love

Mila

Sell them local. Try Craigslist, Audiogon, and ebay. Don't ship them. It is more of a hassle than you want to deal with. Those large heavy SDA's get damaged a lot in shipping. Where are you located approximately?

The location is good, but raising my girls leaves me with no extra cash. I have always wanted a set of these:( It kills me that they are so close yet so far away.
    Ben

Edit: There is always the Polk relay system. I have plenty of room to store stuff here, and I can look at them.

I hear ya, I had the pleasure of driving to Cincinatti to get mine. But Ben is right. The hastle of trying to ship those puppies would not be worth it. At least Polkgirl is letting people know about them and asking for advice from people who have experience with these things.

    But that's what we do !! :)

I now have about 75 hours after complete rebuild on my SDA SRS 2's (Ben did the crossovers) and I can not believe how good these speakers sound. My new MIT's also help a bunch. As these get better over the next couple hundred hours I will be bankrupt as I can't do anything but listen to them. I'm an addict!

polkGirl, hang around and get to 25 posts and you can list them here in our"For Sale" area, but I have a feeling they may be gone before you get that many posts.

Well you're already at 5. Do you know if any of the speakers have been replaced in the cabinets? Also, do you have the interconnect cable that connects the 2 cables? Ebay probably brings a few more dollars, but the members here are the true connoisseurs :).

We could help you value your speakers if we knew if they were pin blade IC's or Blade Blade IC's.

eBay. You can even look up previous sales there to get some idea of what they might sell for.

Selling here is a lot nicer compared to Ebay. Use this thread to get some insight. Make sure you read the For Sale rules. Search older threads to get an idea of the going rate. As with all Internet sales, make sure you sell toe a buyer that has some feedback and not someone new to the site. Selling local means you are pretty much guaranteed you don't get robbed of your money.

    Good luck.

I recently helped out a widow in Minneapolis sell off her late husband's gear thru Craigslist. We used eBay for pricing guidelines and she made sure to have a neighbor around when people came to look at the gear.
best advice is to take good pictures, and contact buyer by phone before having them come over.

It appears to be a case of very savvy marketing to me...it at least appears someone has done some research and has a knack for drumming up interest and in the case of the Bay, driving bids, or at least putting themself in position to do so.

I wish the seller the best, and I hope someone on here gets them if they sell at a reasonable price. If I was closer or had the time to road trip, I'd have some interest.

    Best wishes to all concerned.
