Rear center speaker and sub.
Rear center speaker and sub suggestions.
OK. Im new to the forum. Ive been reading it for some time now and have only recently contributed a few posts. This is a great forum. My only complaint about is that I have been spending an obscene amount of time on it.
Ive been an owner of Polk Speakers since the LS90s first appeared. They are still great and are making their new owner very happy. When I heard the LSi 9s I had knew I had to have them so I went to school on the market/technology/sound of these babies and just started to put together a system. I dont really have a budget and am in no hurry. It took me over a year to get to this point and it looks like patience pays big dividends when designing a rig. Here is where Im at so far:
2 LSi 9s from Polk Direct via ebay auction (refurbished) - $595.00 the pair including shipping. 2 LSi 7s through ebay (used). One tweeter needs replacing. $190.00 the pair including shipping. I figure the tweeter will be somewhere around $60.00 from Polk-Direct (I'll report back on the success/failure of this shameless attempt to save cash). Both in Ebony (although the light maple pair I recently saw on the forum are gorgeous! I wish I had never seen them as I am now considering spending my significant savings shown above on some maple panels DAMN!)
Anyway, after fixing the LSi 7s I will be ordering the LSi C for the front center.
I need advice for the rear center and possibly upgrading my aging Mirage sub (still sounds great). Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks for all the good advice/information in the past and apologies in advance if I broke any rules in my first real post.
Dave.

...I am sure you will hear it a hundred times...But ...you would need to go separate amps to drive those LSI9s. The good thing is - that for MUSIC in 2 channel ......you will be very very very very happy.
Go Eagles....Go Ravens.....The "Battle of the Birds"
...for rear center buy a pair of LSI7's from ebay Polk Direct $349.00....you get a spare and cheaper than the LSIc and will match your rears.
