That looks pretty cool. Is it wrong to see trailers like this and get excited about watching them on BD in your HT rather than going to the theaters?:D:eek: I'll be watching the shelves for this one. Good find.

Not at all, this will be a blind purchase for me as well. Not quite theater worthy.

Anyone watch this? Got a chance to watch it for the first time this afternoon and was impressed. From what I've read online, this movie wasn't very good, so I went in with low expectations. Not great, but worth a look. Solid 7/10 in my books. Thoughts?

This film has had a very, very limited release over the past month, doubt much more will come of it until it hits video.

I got an import disc of this (which was sadly non-anamorphic... stupid region 3). Not a great movie, but not bad for B-grade sci-fi. The creature effects are the weakest point.

It reminded me of The 13th Warrior... probably because it's basically Beowulf, told differently. Kinda' sad if this is the only work Jim Caviezel can get after playing Jesus.
    Equipment list:
    Onkyo TX-NR3010 9.2 AVR

Hey, I liked The 13th Warrior and I'm also a big fan of B grade sci-fi. I'll pick this up on Blu when it streets.

Well, it streets on DVD on the 26th, no word of a Blu release. So, luckily, the Canadians pulled through and a Blu release hits the 26th, I pre-ordered it.

I saw this a week ago on DVD no BR . I pretty much like it, the SQ is great especially the
early part and when the alien start attacking the vikings it has a good surround. Plot is okay with a different twist. I will highly recommend this..

Got the disc today, what a shame, it got cropped to 1.78:1 from 2.35:1. Sending it back.

Well, curiosity got the best of me and I watched the film, what a kick-**** ride of a movie, I loved it. It's a keeper at this point, MAR'd version and all. Hopefully the US Blu release will get much better treatment.

While the DTS-HD MA track is one of the best I've heard to-date, the image quality is not quite as good, it's very inconsistent. Mostly noticeable are the night scenes, some are very dark with great detail while others are washed out and soft. The audio is an A+ but the picture, B-.

This has some of the best bass I've felt in over the 100+ Blu-ray's I own, seriously amazing.
