Paragon Contempo Popcorn Popper

Got tired of the old microwave popcorn and decided to go ahead and pull the trigger on a good popcorn popper. After doing the homework it seems Paragon has a very good name out there. I bought the 4oz contempo which is plenty for 5-6 people. I decided not to put it in the dedicated theater, due to smell, butter sticking to everything, etc; with plenty of shelf space in my kitchen it's a perfect fit, and there's tons of room for other small appliances I have.

Made my first batch and this thing is amazing, within 7 minutes I had real movie theater popcorn. I used the 4oz portion packs with coconut oil. Awesome taste, and the perfect combo with any movie. The popper came with 3 portion packs, scoop, has a heated deck and old maids tray for catching non popped kernels. Few pics for you guys as I highly recommend anyone looking to purchase. I bought from Ken @ www.stargatecinema.com and also bought a case of popcorn portion packs which should last a while.

is there a place that you actually buy 'movie theater style' popcorn? Oh yeah- and, wouldn't the smell actually ADD to the movie theater atmosphere!:D Getting stuff dirty- that would really suck though...

Nice popper though man, getting me in the mood to snack and watch some flicks!

I think Stargate offers excellent prices for anyone looking to purchase. I checked everywhere before buying and they even discounted my final price as well. I was worried that the 4 oz would be too small, however its perfect for 5-6 people. Plus the kettle gets so hot you can just add a portion pack each time. i like this one since it has the auto stir as well. Excellent price as I paid 330 bucks for the popper and a 24 pack case of real movie theater popcorn with the coconut oil as seen here. Warming deck is good as you just turn it on and reheat popcorn to avoid waste.

Paragon has a small manufacturing plant in Nevada IA. Not sure which units they make there, but based on comments from people who work there it's a good company that takes pride in their products. Nice looking unit! I guess maybe I need to make the next parking lot sale!

I suggest you get a Monster Cable power cord for it. You will find the flavor of the popcorn is much more focused and holographic, and not nearly as over-ripe and fat as that popped with the non oxygen free cable that comes with it.

Doesnt get any better than this guys. Country Harvest popcorn, coconut oil, and season salt for the perfect batch of popcorn. Add the Odell's butter topping and you have some of the best popcorn that can be made at home. One of the best additions to an HT in my opinion. You guys are invited to come over and join me. :)

Very easy to clean CP. I clean mine after each use, takes about 10 minutes if that.
