:ook... here goes the sda srs I am going to get this weekend is my dream speaker, however there is also a set of sda srs2.3 that fit better with my listening environment. question is which one is bettre in a 15x18 room, driven currently by yamaha 7.1 130wpc receiver. these speakers will be two channel only as i have a set of monitors for my surround system, thiough I will definately experiment a bit with surround applications for them.

As an aside to this comparison, for my information, hoe do the sda1c stack up with those speakers listed above. I can get a fixer-upper pair for 300 bux
all drivers are great shape but cabinets/grills need help. i can do any repairs needed to them easily... worth my time?

as always my thanks and appreciation:)

The 1Cs are really great speaks and the 2.3s are terrific.

I'm not saying the sound will suck but I don't believe the rcvr will allow any of the SDAs you've mentioned to deliver their best.

FWIW: $300 for local, fully operational 1Cs would be worth picking up.

The srs will blow the 2.3s away, if they are 2.3tls then maybe the 2.3 would be better for your room,I own both and still like the srs for bass, the 1c is not in the running with the srs or 2.3tl. You will need a high current amp or you are wasting your time.
