I did not know polk was owned by another company until today....
I guess I always assumed that Mr Polk was in charge.
The stock price is only .43 per share now. Kinda scary this economy is, but I think if they revamp and re-introduce the SDA line the value would skyrocket...

It was actually trading for as low as .17 per share back in November. I bought some at .23 per share. I've doubled my investment. One of the few good investments I've made lately."Just because youre offended doesnt mean youre right." - Ricky Gervais

You can buy stock in Polk?

I love how everyone seems to think that a revamp of the SDA line will bring Polk to the top of the list. Don't you think Polk's done market research and figured out speakers of that caliber are not bought these days like they were when the SDA's were available? Like Polk just woke up one day and said "Never again, no matter what." lol It's just worth a chuckle to me I guess.Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.

That's what I was just thinking.
I think there's even a sticky about it in the Vintage Speaker forum on here...
People these days aren't looking for behemoths like the SDA's. Sure...there's a niche group that would love to see a revamp of the SDA's, but the consumer market as a whole wouldn't buy them. People these days want small speakers...the kind that you don't even know are there. Little satellite systems are whats in right now for the mainstream. The nirvana inducer-

and sad thing is, people don't even care about the sound. It's the look (or lack there of in some cases) and the price. Sad but it's what people want. Lack of knowledge or "give a damn." I cry daily till I go in the basment and crank up the LSI's... Smiles all around.Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.

Glad to see I'm not the only one contemplating buying some stocks.
Perhaps the tipping point is closer then what everybody think? one can only hope.."If the global crisis continues, by the end of the year Only two Banks will be operational, the Blood Bank and the Sperm Bank. Then these 2 banks will merge and it will be called 'The Bloody **** Bank'" -

Yep...very true. That's why everyone who has a Bose system thinks they have the best. Cuz it looks so elegant and nice...you can barely see it. So it must be the best right?
Screw that...give me some 6 foot tall 180 pound speakers that actually sound good. The nirvana inducer-

custom order SDA's -- Im telling ya it would work:D:D:D:D:D
That way they build only what they need to build --- now the cost would probably be a bout 5 X's what they were ............ -
