I wouldn't really call it a hack. More like some kid with a script he pulled off of some usenet board or something finding an unpatched exploit in phpBB. A real hacker wouldn't broadcast that he compromised the board. If he/she was good, you wouldn't even notice. All that guy did was replace the index page with his own. Not hard to do once you circumvent the permissions on the directory structure.

I agree, with whoever did it is still an ****... (and yes, all the threads work fine).

I believe it is on the GoDaddy server and GoDaddy is out from what I read.

    "GoDaddy.com outage takes sites offline
    Posted by Bob Walsh
BuzzA distributed denial-of-service attack turned dark at least several thousand Web sites hosted by GoDaddy.com Wednesday morning. The outage was intermittent over several hours, according to Nick Fuller, GoDaddy.com communications manager.

Neither e-mail nor DNS services were interrupted, Fuller said.

While one GoDaddy.com tech support person told me during the DDoS attack that at least several thousand Web sites were unreachable, Fuller said only a very small percentage of sites were unreachable but would not provide exact numbers "because of security reasons."

To add to the consternation of Web site owners, GoDaddy.com's voice mail system pointed to its support page for more information about the outage and when it would be corrected. No such information was posted there.

GoDaddy.com was hit in November 2005 with a similar denial-of-service attack that affected 600,000 of its customers' hosted Web sites for roughly an hour.

Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.

Yup it's all back (for the most part) I lost a few days of posts, as I hadn't run a database back up for a 1 week or so. No big deal, I only see 1 or 2 threads that will be missed.
Besides, GoDiddely is probalby going the do a full restore of the database too.

No Max... Looks like U'r off the hook this time.. Maybe next time we can pin something on you though if you like.
