Can you add an equalizer to a 6.1 system, and more importantly, do you want to?
Thanks- Greg

Better watch out Gacole,
A lot of guys on these threads think Equalizer is a bad word..Like Bose, especially the Polk guys.
Personally only use my eq for music playback because I am not completely satisfied with the 800's music playback. I am seriously eyeing the 6.1 Audio Control Bijou, take a look at...it's on sale over at Hi-Fi concepts websight for $749.There are several other multi-channels on the market.
Good Luck Stuff.Your system is only as good as your weakest component...!

Thanks, that was my thought also, but I wanted to get some other educated opinions. BTW, how did you wire your rear subwoofer, off the rear center? I m thinking of adding the 202 also.

Gacole,
equalizer had its place in the past (disclaimer: it is my opinion only) I still have an old Rotel 2ch eq that I bought in '86 and still functioning well). The main reason for having eq is to compensate for the limitation of source (such as cassettes), room characteristics, and speakers. All of these are no longer issues for me in my current setup or at least I don't notice them). Therefore I stop using it. Two drawbacks of using eq were increase hiss and fatique on prolonged listening time, in my experience.I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie. -
Hey Gacole,
Have the sub hooked up to the surrounds ( the Fx300's) using the + in + out/- in - out on the back of the sub. It's a nice little kick in the ****, especially with HT. I have it (the sub) placed directly behind my swweet spot ( behind the couch).
Good Luck, Enjoy Stuff.Your system is only as good as your weakest component...!
