I had such a dramatic improvement with my DIY interconnect for my 1.2TL's that I am anxious to replace the stock interconnect for the 1A's. I checked out the schematics for the 1A's which show the connections for the two blades. My question is this - (probably a dumb question) Is the wide blade for the right channel wired to the wide blade on the left channel (and the narrow blades wired together)? Thanks for the advice. Ben made me a custom AI-1 interconnect as per AI-1 Dreadnought and I have had it installed for two days now. Noticed a difference in the soundstage right away.

I am glad you are enjoying that A1. I am going to post a couple pics later.
    Thanks for the blessing DK.

Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

I posted my cable under "Easy DIY Interconnect upgrade - $20" some time ago. Huge improvement.

As I am currently using a common ground amp,I used a single length of monster mc500 speaker cable straight into the pin sockets on each speaker. The sound stage has widened and is more 3 dimensional which is what I was expecting. What was pleasantly surprising was a slight increase in mid range resolution.

Yes when I did my SDA2's. The wires are straight through but swapped before they go to the XO. I think I posted pictures when I did my upgrade. Do a search on my user name. I also added a set binding posts but also left the IC plug active so I could play around with different cables. It was around Jan. of 2008.
