Question about my TV (Hi Def RPTV)

You more than definitely have an overscan issue. I have the same problem, and for the most part it can be fixed (but these sets are just that way, so you may never get it as good as a plasma as far as the overscan).
I'm having my panny calibrated on Thursday. This will be the second time he will be coming. He does an amazing job for $375. IMO, you can't beat the picture of a well calibrated old RPTV (at least for now). He opens and cleans everything, set convergence, focus, color and black level (he uses his laptop connected to the set and gets the colors dead on). He's out of Ohio, but doesn't charge for travel (I'm in CT). What he does is try to set up a bunch of people in an area, then takes a trip. Not sure if he does your area, but it may be worth a look.

I also just notice the last post links to image perfect. I don't know Bob, but there is a yahoo forum for my set, and anytime a question is posted there, he seems to have a good response (even after all these years [my set if from 1999]).Denon AVR-3803

Chad just finished with my set and it looks fantastic! We took of the anti-glare screen and now there less glare (go figure). The picture is also much crisper. He spent the entire day on it for $325 (gave me $50 off as a returning customer). Like I said, there is nothing like a well tuned good RPTV.
He also mentioned that he received a request for calibration from Texas. Was that you assimilated?Denon AVR-3803
