I have replaced the 2A 250v Slow burn fuse and the new fuse blows the second I plug in my PSW10. What should I do now?
I purchased this unit in 2006 or 2007.

Try a different outlet, and check the power cable. You have probably already done that but it's all I can think of for quick fixes. Other than that may need to make a call to Polk, or maybe Eric will have some ideas.HT Rig

It sounds like the electronics of the subwoofer need some service. If you are in the United States you can send just the electronics to our factory service center.
To do that, unplug any power & signal cables, use a #2 Phillips head screw driver, unscrew 10 screws that line the perimeter of the back panel. You may need to pry but the back panel will remove. You'll then see a red and black wire that goes into the cabinet. Reach inside, find where the connectors end at the back of the speaker driver and pull to disconnect.

Please include a note with your name, address, ph #, brief description of the problem & copy of sales receipt of it's a warranty claim.-Eric

I have the same issue and have tried everything. Is it possible for me to ship just the electrical piece to that address as well w/o having to first call customer service?

I would try to give them a heads up first, either by calling CS or sending a PM to Eric. They will be able to better instruct you on what to do.

Hi Eric,
I have a similar problem as above. All was fine until a power surge(possible lightning) blew out all of my networking equipment as well as my Polk PSW10 which was on the same line. I opened the back and replaced the 2 amp, 250v fuse (which was blown) with a 2.5 amp,250v fuse which was all I had on hand. The new fuse blew immediately after the speaker hummed. I can send in the electronics, but how much does that usually cost for diagnostic and repair. The subwoofer is only worth about $100. Can you give me some advice? Thanks very much for your time. Regards Joe -
Hello JK,
I'm sure Polk can be of help. Give them a call on Monday after 9:00 o'clock in the morning at 1-800-377-7655. They'll want to know where and when it was purchased to be of help.
Regards, Ken -
Thanks Ken. I have contacted Customer Services and will be sending in the electronic portion of the subwoofer. Regards, Joe

Hello
I just bought a used psw10 from amazon. On connection noted that it did not work. Followed advice from this site and removed back panel. The 2A/250V fuse is blown. My concern is if I replace the fuse, will the problem be solved or it goes deeper?
