I just bought a used Adcom GFA 535 and love its sound. It has connections for two sets of speakers. Can I bi-amp a single pair of LSi7s by using both A and B connections? Will I see any advantage from doing this?

You won't see an advantage. But go ahead and try it. I can't rememner how the the speaker switches are wired. That will be the limiting factor.

I believe the speaker switches for "a" and "b" when engaged are in series. Bi-amping while being hooked in series is not an advantage. In theory the resistance is higher meaning you may not get the full potential from the amp.

What about bi-amping using both the Adcom and my Onkyo 805? I'm curious to try this but I don't know enough about electronics to know if it's going to do any harm. Or would the worst case be that it just doesn't sound very good?

Bi-amping with two different sources is not recommended.

Exactly what Lee said.....if you had a gain control on the amp it would be fine. The problem though however, is the gain could be way different causing either bass/treble to be off quite a bit.
