how to mount center channel speaker?

i want to add a center ch.speaker above my hdtv, whats the best way?my tv is about 18" from the wall is there a way too wall mount or mount too the tv itself?

I don't have direct experience with this, but there is what looks like a good option from Audio Advisors. I have used them for other audio components and add-ons.

GregC, I have a Samsung LN46a630 and am getting a cs2, do you think that bracket would work. That is exactly how I was imagining setting the center, just worried about the weight of the cs2 and that glass edge on the tv.....

It works perfect for the CSi3.
As long as you are on studs or use a good set of wall anchors you should be fine.

Found your post about mounting a centre speaker to the wall using the crutchfield B-Tech BT15 mount .Eric could you tell me if the crutchfield B-Tech BT77 wall speaker mounts would be ok to mount a set of RT25i ,s bookshelf speakers to the walls for a home theather setup like what Erik has done, or would you recommend something else.

I'm not Eric...
but in looking at the specs for the RT25i, it is about the size of an RTi4 - which I also had mounted up on my fronts using the B-Tech BT-77 - it should work perfect for the RT25i.
The speakers you see in the picture I linked are the RTiA3s - bigger and heavier than the RT25i.

It's crazy -- I had the exact same question and when I posted it I got no response...
The problem with the L-shaped brackets is they kept the speaker too close to the wall -- I have RPTV (Mits 73") and the front of the screen sits 18.5" from the wall. I eventually went with a CRT tv wall mount from vuepoint:

It looks great -- I mounted it so the top of the "lip" at the front of the shelf is flush with the top of my TV -- you can barely see it from any angle, and it's made to hold upt a 60-pound TV so it's ROCK solid holding my CSi A6... -
well i had to go another route, by wife threw a fit when i said i wanted too mount a speaker over the tv:rolleyes:. so i ended up putting it below in the entertainment center:(. still sounds better though

Well hey whatever works right, at least you found a place for it!
I ended up just buying a couple black brackets from Home Depot, **** them to the wall (making sure to hit a stud), and resting my CSi A6 right on them. It works perfectly, looks great, and i paid practically nothing for those brackets!
Man you guys need to take charge of your woman!!! lol
Maybe i'm just lucky in that aspect, my fiancee (been with her almost 7yrs now) doesn't tell me what i can and can't do..:p -

My TV-mount solution worked pretty well, but either of these would probably have been easier, and the PM600 is adjustable for depth up to 19.5", and the PS200 up to 23"! OH well, guess there's no use to complain now... -

It is in piece parts - so you can mix the parts to be two, three, or four levels with the different heights at whatever tier you want them to be.
