I've been seeing this ION brand stuff around for transfering records and tapes to CD's or MP3.
Looks like a POS China made joke to me.
Kinda pricey for the build quality IMHO.
Bed Bath and Beyond here has em so I saw em in person.

Anyone ever heard of anyone trying em?

    "Bed Bath and Beyond" !?!?!?!?!?!

I suspect the nature of the retailer says something about the quality of the equipment, or, at the least, the target market.

Can't say I've had personal experience with this brand, but during one of the Circuit City store closings in my area, they had one of those turn tables for $30. I almost jumped on it, but it looked really chintzy.

I would have to guess that any audio equipment that they have at Bed, Bath and Beyond isn't worth buying.

I thought it might be a cheap alternative....but I'd bet the quality they put out is cheap too! :D

Actually the equipment in the pictures is junk however Ion did (does?) make a USB turntable that received pretty good reviews for its intended purpose. That purpose being a simple way of getting vinyl to MP3. Even then, the Audio Technica AT-PL50 does a much better job and costs less.

The Ion would be highly NOT recommended.
