question on Monitor 4 in home theater setup

Hi - I'm new to this forum but it has so far been a wealth of information. I thought I'd post a specific question regarding home theater setup that I can't seem to get an answer for - hopefully this is the right place.
I inherited two Monitor 4's that still work great, and I'm debating whether it makes sense to either (1) buy a center, two surrounds and a sub that match or (2) just buy a home theater speaker system and use the Monitors somewhere else. Unfortunately my wife is not a music person like I am, and with kids I don't have a hell of a lot of time to listen to my music, so right now my primary interest is to have a 5.1 system to connect to the new Panasonic plasma I have for movies/tv.
I'll need to buy a receiver as well, since I need to replace the decrepit Sony STR AV310 I'm still using.
Any suggestions on the best way to go? If I add speakers, Polk recommends the CSi A4 for the center - is this right or are there other options? Any advice or other ideas appreciated. Thanks

Just copy/paste "Polk Audio Monitor 4 Speakers" @ Google and it will pull up 4U.

First of all, if you have the space/funds, go for the CSi A6 center, as the bulk of the sound in your front soundstage is channeled through the center for HT. If you don't have the space, then the A4 would be fine. Then you could use the 4s for fronts, and something like the monitor 30s for surrounds. Or, go with an all-RTi front with RTi A5s, 7s, or 9s, and use the 4s for the surrounds.
You don't mention a budget for your upgrades, but you can get a reasonable deal on an HK HT receiver at their ebay store, a AVR 247 typically goes for around $200, give or take.
