Depending on your budget you will probably get many suggestions for Velodyne, SVS, Epik, etc but they can be pretty spendy. I would say $400+ range, not sure if you would need something like that or not. There are lots of posts on sub recomendations, try doing a search on them and you may get some good advice there, if not I'm sure you will get some suggestions from the real experts. I have a Polk Audio PSW125, and it may not be the #1 suggestion from most people it actually does a reall good job in my setup. I got it relatively cheap (around $250) about 4 months ago from CC, and I have been very happy with it's performance. However, it will be one of the first things I will be upgrading (besides a new Emotiva amp, which I will hopefully be getting soon) don't get me wrong I don't regret buying the 125, like I said it works well in my setup. My budget was one of the main reasons I went with the Polk sub instead of something else, I got all the speakers and the sub in my signature for around $1,200, which was about $200 over my budget at the time but thanks to a very understanding wife I was able to get them, lol. Oh and welcome to Club Polk, where the upgrade bug bites very often and very soon, lol.

Check out the Polk DSW PRO line of subs. I own all of them and they are all great. The 400 is the most musical, the 500 is great all around, and the 600 is probably the best for home theater, even though it is quite good for music also. I've had great luck with them.
